Derry is a seasoned technology entrepreneur, digital transformation consultant and policy advisor. Over the last fifteen years, he has come to be respected as an authoritative leader and visionary in the technology and fintech space. He co-founded DreamOval Limited, one of Ghana’s earliest and now more established Tech startups, in 2007, fresh out of Ashesi University.

As the company’s CEO, Derry led DreamOval’s growth and transformation, culminating in expanding into multiple countries.After his tenure as CEO of Dreamoval, he was appointed CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Technology. He brought his commitment to helping the technology ecosystem to evolve a robust and viable tech market for players to bear while also turning his focus to impacting government institutions and policy frameworks.

In that role, he also served on several critical committees to build and implement robust policies that guide the Ghanaian technology and payments ecosystem across varied sectors.

After his term as CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Technology, he continues to serve in consultancy and directorship roles with organisations dedicated to this vision, where he brings his passion and expertise in Innovation, Digital Transformation, Fintech, Social Design, and People Development to bear.

Derry has come to be recognised as a keen believer that technology innovation is the optimal pathway to Africa’s transformation and as someone dedicated to driving that vision forward.

True to his problem-solving predisposition, Derry has recently founded and runs Heritors Labs LLC, a game-changing Product development house, software engineering enclave, research centre and innovation services hub.

A keen inclination for creating smarter and more enriching life experiences for society conitues to guide his drive for African innovation and economic development.
