Ghana Integrated Digital Transformation Blueprint

National digital architecture. A foundation for investment.

Policy and national digital strategyEngagement lead: Derrydean Dadzie

Context

A national digital agenda needed a shared architecture connecting infrastructure, institutions, public services and productive sectors.

The challenge

Digital investments needed to work together across government and the wider economy, with clear principles, governance and implementation priorities.

Our contribution

Derrydean Dadzie was a principal architect of the Ghana Integrated Digital Transformation Blueprint and is named on its authoring team. This national-policy assignment forms part of the experience he brings to Heritors Labs.

What we delivered

The Ghana Integrated Digital Transformation Blueprint for 2021–2030: a multi-sector framework with 12 pillars, guiding principles and recommendations spanning digital infrastructure, data, services, institutions and the innovation ecosystem.

Outcome

The World Bank’s April 2022 appraisal for the US$200 million Ghana Digital Acceleration Project repeatedly references the blueprint. It connects proposed project activities to the blueprint’s priorities, including broadband access, digital-government governance and support for the innovation ecosystem.

Evidence

The blueprint identifies its authoring team. Ministry documentation records Derrydean’s architectural role. The publicly disclosed World Bank Project Appraisal Document, PAD4612, independently documents the blueprint’s connection to project design.
